The great Miamians inducted into the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Alumni Hall of Fame are selected through a rigorous nomination and judging process. Schools are invited to nominate individuals who best exemplify the following criteria:

Attended a Miami-Dade County public school at some point during his or her K-12 and/or adult/vocational education (Graduation is not required for consideration)

Received recognized success in his or her field(s) and/or in service to society

Be a positive role model for Miami-Dade County Public Schools students
A distinguished judging panel of community leaders chooses an honoree in each of six established categories:
Arts & Entertainment Science, Technology, Engineering &
Mathematics Business Sports
Public Service Singular Achievement
