Share holder in the Litigation Department and member of the Firm's Board of Directors

Alan Fein is a Shareholder in the Litigation Department and a member of the Firm's Board of Directors. For over three decades, Alan has successfully handled complex business litigation in South Florida and in the leading business courts in the nation, including the Delaware Court of Chancery, the Delaware Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second Circuit, Eleventh Circuit and the District of Columbia. At the same time, he has developed one of the region’s most vibrant sports law practices, and brought vision and leadership to a number of community leadership roles.
In particular, Alan focuses his practice on complex civil litigation, professional sports representation and litigation, defamation and libel law, corporate governance disputes, directors' and officers´ liability, accountant malpractice, architect malpractice and banking litigation.
Prior to joining Stearns Weaver Miller, Alan was Assistant to the White House Domestic Policy Staff, and Aide to the Special Assistant to President Carter for Government Reorganization. Alan also served as Legislative Assistant to the Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives. He has been a proud member and shareholder of Stearns Weaver Miller, joining the firm as its tenth lawyer in 1979, and helping guide the firm’s growth over the next decades.

Manager of real estate in South Florida and leader of the José Milton Foundation.
Ana VeigaMilton presides over the José Milton Foundation (JMF) and guides Social Responsibility for the Milton family business, United Property Management (UPM), one of the largest property owners and managers in South Florida with almost 8000 residential units and commercial real estate. Her husband Cecil and his two brothers serve as Trustees of the Foundation. Cecil serves as President of UPM and their sons, Alec & Eric, are fully integrated in Operations and IT.
The José Milton Foundation was established by Ana’s father-in-law to support programs and organizations in South Florida that improve quality of life and close the opportunity gap, with a special focus on education, research, and healthcare. Most recently, the Foundation partnered with MAS @ Zelda Glazer, a Miami-Dade County Public School Grades 6–12th, to create the JMF Recording Studio, a professional recording studio accessible to all students in the county. The JMF also named the Leadership Hall at the UM College of Engineering, funds and awards the Advancing Minorities in STEM Scholarships for graduates of the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Program and for graduates of the Latin Builders Association (LBA) Academy, and commits $10M towards the José Milton Memorial Hospital in Doral, an expansion of Jackson Health System providing academic medicine through expert UM doctors, and $1M towards the new Mount Sinai Surgical Center in Miami Beach. Additionally, the Foundation supports the Animal Fun Factory at Zoo Miami, the first guest-interactive multi-sensory enrichment center in an accredited zoo.
Ana is a proud graduate of Miami-Dade Public Schools, attending Banyan Elementary, Rockway Junior High, and Southwest Miami High School. She served as Student Council President, VP of Key Club Service Organization, and graduated Valedictorian, earning a full merit Isaac Bashevis Singer Scholarship to the University of Miami. Professionally, Ana holds engineering and law degrees from the University of Miami. She worked for BellSouth as a telecommunications engineer upon graduation while pursuing her Master of Science in Electrical Engineering at FIU. After earning her law degree and becoming a member of the Florida Bar, she worked pro-bono prior to becoming a full-time mom of three and dedicating herself to community service and philanthropy.
