RESOURCES FOR STUDENTS IN NEED
We seek to ensure a successful educational experience for children and youth in M-DCPS living in unstable housing. Through collaboration with parents, schools, and community partners, we open the doors to academic opportunities, remove barriers, and promote a healthy sense of self.
Operated by The Office of Family and Community Engagement and located at Lindsey Hopkins Technical Center, The Shop at M-DCPS provides resources for students and families in need. Students and families can only make a request through their school sites. Resources available for families and students include: clothing, shoes, backpacks, school supplies, toiletries, personal items and non-perishable food.
Prom Boutique
Prom Shop provides new gowns, shoes , tuxedos, and all the trimmings for prom for our ladies and our young men to complete their prom attire at no cost. With the help of donors, we provide prom, Grad Bash and senior activity tickets for as many of our homeless and deserving teens. $350 sponsors one student and gives them a senior year to remember! Instruction on how to donate are below.

Appointments for families must be made by a school site employee or administrator.
