Superintendent's Advisory Panel for Students with Disabilities (SPED)

Advises the Superintendent on issues related to students with disabilities


The Advisory Panel will consist of 26 voting members and up to five non-voting: Ten parents, including the parent of a student representative, who submits a letter of interest to serve to the Committee Chair, are recommended by the Panel and approved by the Superintendent; One student representative; Ten appointments by the Superintendent from community agencies; and five M-DCPS staff appointments made by the District Director of the Division of Special Education in collaboration with the Committee membership.


SPED meetings are open to the public and are hosted in the School Board Administration Building.
